CONCORD PLACE DEPLOYS TROPOS WIRELESS BROADBAND NETWORK FOR 2010 WINTER OLYMPICS CELEBRATIONS

SUNNYVALE, CA -- February 18, 2010 - Tropos Networks announced today that Vancouver’s Concord Place Community Celebration Zone is using a Tropos wireless broadband network to provide free Wi-Fi Internet access for attendees of the 2010 Winter Olympics celebrations making it easy for them to stay connected. The Concord Place venue covers several pavilions -- Molson Hockey House, Ontario House, Quebec House, Saskatchewan House, and Global TV.  Tens of thousands of people are expected to visit the Concord Place area during the games.

Novax Industries and Novus Entertainment together installed the Tropos outdoor mesh network at Concord Place and Novus is providing Internet access services for the duration of the games.  Novus also developed a special portal that presents users with easy access to a broad selection of information about the games, local events, services, and maps.  In addition, users have full Internet access enabling them to remain connected to friends and family from iPhones and any other Wi-Fi device.
